Meet Faye
Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.
I know that reaching out for counseling can feel overwhelming. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship struggles, or a major life transition, you don't have to face it alone. My hope is that New Chapter Counseling is a place where you feel seen, heard, and cared for as we work together toward healing and growth.
For more than 25 years, caring for others has been both my profession and my calling. I began my career as a registered nurse, serving individuals and families through some of life's most difficult moments. That experience taught me the importance of compassion, listening well, and caring for the whole person, lessons that continue to shape my work as a Licensed Professional Counselor today.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Religion with a minor in Christian Counseling and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based therapy that helps children and adults process and heal from trauma and other distressing life experiences.
I work with individuals and couples facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My goal is not simply to help people cope, but to help them experience lasting healing, discover hope, and move forward with confidence.
Every client's story is unique. I believe our past may shape us, but it does not have to define us. No matter what chapter of life you find yourself in today, change is possible, healing is attainable, and hope remains.
For clients who desire it, I also offer counseling from a Christian perspective, thoughtfully integrating biblical truth with evidence-based counseling practices. My faith is the foundation of my life, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside those who want to explore healing through both professional counseling and their relationship with God.
Outside of the counseling office, I enjoy serving in women's ministry, leading Bible studies, reading, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends.
Thank you for considering New Chapter Counseling. It is an honor to walk with people through some of life's hardest seasons. My prayer is that you leave each session feeling encouraged, equipped, and reminded that your story isn't over.
Every story has hope. Every chapter has purpose.
